The Minister for Foreign Affairs has made the following statement in relation people ensuring they are properly insured before they travel in 2015.
"Citizens are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travelling. The separate 'know before you go' section of the Departments website gives detailed information about the type of cover that we would recommend. Having such insurance ensures that citizens have best prepared themselves for unfortunate eventualities like illness and hospitalisation abroad, and the costs that can arise in such cases."
Charles Flanagan TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
